Ordo Digitalis is operated by Krause Digital LLC. By accessing or using the Ordo Digitalis website (ordodigitalis.com) and any related services, products, or content, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
Description of Services
Ordo Digitalis provides:
- Educational content about Catholic faith and practice
- Catholic guides, essays, prayers, and other free reading resources
- Free Catholic formation resources
- Free resources and newsletter content
AI-Generated Content Disclosure
Important: Ordo Digitalis has two fictional animated teaching characters: Father Marco Vincenti and Sr. Maria Celeste. Father Marco Vincenti is not a real priest; Sister Maria Celeste is not a real religious sister. Ordo Digitalis is the independent media project that publishes their content.
These teaching characters:
- Cannot hear confessions or provide sacramental services
- Do not replace spiritual direction from ordained clergy
- Are not affiliated with any diocese or religious order
- Deliver educational content only, not pastoral care
Our editorial standard requires every doctrinal claim to be checked against Catholic sources: Sacred Scripture, the Catechism, magisterial documents, and USCCB resources. Trusted formation voices explain these sources; they do not define doctrine. Invented story dialogue is identified as fiction, not presented as authentic teaching.
Account Responsibilities
When you create an account or make a purchase, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Keep access to the email address on your account secure, since we use passwordless, email-link sign-in — sign-in links are single-use and expire
- Not share your account access with others
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
Email Communications
When you sign in, purchase a guide, or request a free resource, we send transactional emails — receipts, download links, and sign-in links — needed to deliver what you asked for. Occasional Ordo reflections are a separate, explicit choice; requesting a guide does not enroll you in a daily email course. Every marketing email has a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing from marketing email never removes your access to guides you've purchased — sign in anytime at your personal library to re-download them.
Digital Products & Licenses
When you purchase a digital product from Ordo Digitalis, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to access and use that content. You may not:
- Redistribute, resell, or share purchased content
- Copy or reproduce materials for commercial purposes
- Remove copyright notices or attribution
- Create derivative works based on our content
Personal use includes printing materials for your own study and sharing reasonable excerpts with friends and family in non-commercial contexts.
Current Offering
The Archive and our free guides, including Your First 7 Days and the Come Home Reset, are free. Ordo Digitalis does not currently offer a membership or recurring paid service.
Paid guides are sold individually as one-time purchases. How to Pray When You Feel Nothing is $9 USD. The Rule of the Digital Christian includes the book and workbook for $29 USD. The Scriptorium essay with the same title remains free to read.
Payments and Access
Paid guides are one-time purchases processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Each guide's page states its contents and price before you buy. After purchase, you receive an email with a protected download link, and you can re-download your guides anytime from your personal library by signing in with the email you used to buy. Free resources require no payment.
For a question about a charge, an earlier transaction, or access to a resource, email contact@ordodigitalis.com. This update does not change the terms agreed to for an earlier transaction.
Refunds
All sales of paid guides are final. Because digital guides are available immediately after purchase, we do not offer routine refunds. Please review the description and sample pages before buying.
If a file won't open, a guide differs from its description, or it isn't what you needed, email contact@ordodigitalis.com and tell us. We'll help resolve the problem and consider a refund where that is the appropriate resolution.
Free guides cost nothing, so there is nothing to refund.
Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Use our services for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with the proper functioning of our website
- Harass other users or our staff
- Post content that is defamatory, obscene, or contrary to Catholic teaching
- Use automated systems to access our content without permission
Intellectual Property
All content on Ordo Digitalis—including text, graphics, logos, images, videos, course materials, and the overall design—is the property of Ordo Digitalis and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
The character personas, their names, visual representations, and associated content are the property of Ordo Digitalis.
Disclaimer
Our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that our services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Our educational content is for informational purposes and should not be considered professional spiritual direction, psychological counseling, or medical advice. For serious spiritual, mental, or physical health concerns, please consult appropriate professionals.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ordo Digitalis shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of our services shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section limits any consumer protection right that cannot be waived under the law of the place where you live.
