Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
In Latin
Glória Patri, et Fílio, et Spirítui Sancto. Sicut erat in princípio, et nunc, et semper, et in sǽcula sæculórum. Amen.
History
This ancient doxology dates back to the early Church and is based on the baptismal formula given by Jesus (Matthew 28:19).
When to Pray
The Glory Be is prayed after each decade of the Rosary, after the Psalms in the Divine Office, and frequently throughout Catholic prayer.
