History
St. Faustina Kowalska recorded the origin of the Chaplet in 1935 in her Diary. The devotion directs prayer to God for mercy through Christ. St. John Paul II canonized Faustina in 2000 and established Divine Mercy Sunday on the Second Sunday of Easter. When to Pray
Especially fitting at 3 p.m., the Hour of Mercy when Christ died on the Cross, on Fridays, on Divine Mercy Sunday, and at the bedside of the dying. It takes about ten minutes on ordinary rosary beads.
